Birthday Break.

Took a rare break from Etsy this weekend to celebrate my 29th birthday! Still hanging on to my 20's by a thread! The Hubs took me out to eat to celebrate and I got to spend time with a lot of family, it was perfect. Thanks to everyone for making it such a special day! Now, back to work. :)

XOXO,

Mack

It's A Family Thing.

After officially setting up shop in May, I have been hooked on Etsy ever since. Etsy has also touched someone else in my life, my sister-in-law, Ginny. She not only is the mother to my adorable nephew Evan but she also started up her own shop SillyCheeks which contains all kinds of fun and precious baby items such as nursing aprons for mom, fun hair bows and baby shower gift items. Together we cover two of lifes greatest events... getting married and starting a family!

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes baby. Check her out!

Welcome Fall!

It has been under 90 degrees all week and in Texas, that can only mean one thing...that Fall is here!!

It is only mid-September but I have had the pleasure of creating several fall inspired wedding card boxes for upcoming October and November nuptials.

I've also been drooling over other fall inspired items from some very talented Etsians! Check out these great shops!

Isn't this warm orange poppy tea bag holder adorable?

New Item Spotlight - Peacock Ring Bearer Pillow.

I have a secret.....

Though I've been married for almost a year now I still LOVE reading wedding blogs. Not only does it help me keep my shop fresh with items and ideas but I love all the pretty colorful fabrics, papers and inspiration boards like the one below:

I LOVE the bold pops of green and blue and I have to say, it appears the peacock theme is indeed very trendy right now! Which gave me inspiration for a peacock wedding inspired ring bearer pillow.

Who knew feathers could be so fun?

Featured On! myhandmaderegistry.com

It is always the best feeling in the world to open up my email and read that one of my listings has been featured or made it to the front page of a website. It just never gets old and I am so very grateful for the exposure!

This morning's email let me know that for the next day or so one of my wedding card boxes was going to be on the front page of http://www.myhandmaderegistry.com/. Of course I hurried over to take a look! And there it was on the bottom row, my aqua and red wedding card box!

A big thanks to Liz for including my item in her registry and another big thanks to myhandmaderegistry.com for featuring Liz's list on the front page!

Unique Custom Order - Tiffany Blue & Coral.

Since officially opening up shop back in May, we have created over 80 wedding card boxes. Wedding season has kept us nice and busy, keep them coming! I often get a lot of requests for the same color themes or to create an exact replica of one of my previous boxes posted on flickr. While these boxes are beautiful, every once in a while I get to work with a bride with a color scheme I have never created with before and it gets the designing dork in me very excited!

The bride, Karolina, introduced me to the color scheme Tiffany Blue, Coral and Chocolate Brown. I immediately had images in my head of what her gorgeous wedding might look like and threw together this inspiration board. Lovely, no?

It was now my turn to create a wedding card box to compliment and incorporate her wedding colors. Using full peony-esque blooms and a chocolate box with Tiffany Blue ribbon, the finished product turned out to be one of my favorites!
